Summary: Wonderful present!
... Received this one for Christmas and have been rooting through it since. There is some beautiful photography here and you can set and dream about the places featured. These are not the most famous courses in the world, but they are some of the most beautiful and unique. I like the author's history of each course and the trip-planning tips the author gives (not that I will take that many of them, but goodness, you can always dream). This is one of those nice books to have lying around to flip through now and then and

Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | There's an incredible similarity between the mechanics of a fly cast and the swing of a golf club. With Fifty Places to Play Golf Before You Die , Santella gives voice to his other sporting passion, interviewing 50 people intimately connected to the sport about some of their favorite courses around the world. Golf Courses of the World: 365 Days
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2008-01-18 Summary: Great Calendar Golf Book ... My fiance and I bought this book to serve as a guest book at our wedding, since we love golf we thought it would be a cool place to look back at our guests notes, while enjoying the pictures. I didn't even realize when we bought it that it serves as a calendar too, which makes the book even more fun. Now, I am going to have my guests sign in under their birthdays, so I have a catalog of all their b-days. The pictures are of good quality and I like the fluffy descriptions of the courses. We are going to try to play ...more

[3] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-01-06 Summary: 365 days, but not all 365 photos are worthy ... The majority of the photos in this book are fantastic, but some of them are a bit drab, be it because of the locations or the colors of some of the courses. But overall, this is a fantastic book - it's sturdy, presented well, and full of lots of great photos. It's a shame all of them weren't consistently gorgeous - a few of the photos seem a bit amateurish and the locations aren't all as spectacular as I'd have expected. ...more
